Speech Therapy

Speech therapy focuses on helping children learn to communicate with confidence.Therapy sessions are play-based and child-led, meaning your child learns best through fun, meaningful activities that spark curiosity and joy. Whether we’re building with blocks, reading stories, or using toys to act out adventures, every activity has a purpose — to help your child grow their communication skills naturally.

Feeding Therapy

Mealtimes should be a positive and stress-free experience for both you and your child. At Vickery Voice, our feeding therapy sessions help children develop safe, confident, and enjoyable eating habits through a supportive, play-based approach.

Feeding therapy is responsive and child-centered — meaning we follow your child’s pace, celebrate small steps, and make new experiences with food feel safe and fun. We use play, exploration, and positive interactions to build trust and curiosity around eating.

Our Lunch Bunch Summer Intensive is a short-term, hands-on small group program, designed to help children make meaningful progress in speech, language, and feeding skills — all in a playful, social setting!

“Lunch Bunch” makes therapy extra special — children bring their lunch or snack and practice real-life feeding and social skills in a supportive, guided environment. We focus on making mealtimes and communication practice fun in a stress-free environment led with weekly camp themes.

What is speech therapy?

Speech and language therapy helps children build the skills they need to communicate clearly, confidently, and effectively. Therapy supports areas like speech sounds, language development, social communication, and early literacy — all through fun, engaging activities tailored to your child.

What is feeding therapy?

Feeding therapy helps children who have difficulty eating beyond just being "picky". This may look like difficulty trying new foods, or managing different textures. Sessions focus on building comfort, oral motor skills, and positive mealtime experiences — at your child’s own pace and in a supportive, playful environment.

What ages do you work with?

We work with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children. Therapy is always individualized based on your child’s developmental level and goals.

How long are sessions?

Most sessions are 30–45 minutes, depending on your child’s age, attention, and goals. We’ll recommend a session length and frequency that best supports your child’s progress.

Do you offer teletherapy?

Yes! We provide teletherapy services for families across Idaho. Virtual sessions are interactive and engaging — we’ll guide you through hands-on strategies and activities right from your home.

Can parents participate in sessions?

Absolutely! We encourage parent involvement whenever possible. You’ll gain insight into your child’s progress and learn practical strategies to use at home.

Where do sessions take place?

Sessions are offered by appointment only. We provide services in our private therapy space and online through secure teletherapy sessions. (Our exact location is shared after scheduling for privacy and safety.)

What does it cost?

Therapy costs can vary depending on the type of service and your child’s unique needs. We’ll walk you through your insurance coverage and help you understand any out-of-pocket costs before starting. Private pay options are also available, and we’ll discuss everything upfront so there are no surprises along the way.

Vickery Voice is in network with several major insurance providers and is happy to help families by submitting claims. Please remember that coverage for speech, language, and feeding therapy varies by plan.

What if my child is shy or doesn’t want to participate?

That’s completely okay! We take time to build trust and connection before jumping into goals. Sessions are play-based and flexible — children quickly learn that therapy is a safe, fun space where they can be themselves.

How do I get started?
